Thursday marked the completion of the beginning pottery class I have been teaching this winter. We glazed the previous Thursday so all that was left this week was to pick up the completed pieces. We had no major disasters in the firings and everything turned out so beautiful!! I was so excited to see everyone's pieces finished. Here are some of the pictures of work from the most recent graduates of beginning pottery at Earthworks of Rome.
Aren't the pieces wonderful!!!
On another note, I have been having fun with video at work for facebook so I am feeling the need to do another video of me in the studio making something that actually makes it to the end! Any requests for my next creation to be caught on film??
Lisa, those look wonderful! Congratulations on a great class!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved ghe class...you are a wonderful teacher!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm...what could you make? A mixing bowl? A pitcher? A set of silverware :) ? A keepsake box? Just some random ideas. The stuff from your class looks great!! Can I sign up for the next one?
ReplyDeleteYou did so well - I just finished an 8 week beginners' class and we didn't learn nearly that much. I was frustrated by the lack of instruction, and looking at what you taught your students, well, I congratulate you. I wish I had been in your class:)
ReplyDeleteWhere are you teaching classes? Your "beginning" class makes GREAT work... It's been forever since I've thrown, would love to do it again... Any classes this summer?
